Theatre Workshop

‘Jana Natyer Khonje’

 

Learners Educational Society is organizing Theatre Workshop regularly under the title ‘ Jana Natyer Khonje’. The renowned Theatre personalities of our countey namely Sri Probir Guha, Sri Debasish Ray, Sri Dani Karmakar, Sri Suvajit Bandhyopadhyay, Sri Gunakar Dev Goswami, Sri Jyoti Narayan Nath has attend the Workshops in previous years. Our play ‘OMANISHA’, ‘JASHOMOTI’, ‘Bhalobasar Iskul’ are the the result of our production oriented workshops. We are thankful to Sangeet Natak Akademi (New Delhi) for supporting us to conduct the said programme.

Besides this, our memder Smt. Hriturekha Nath (NSD, New Delhi) & Sri Kaustabh Chakroborty (NSD- TIE, Agartala) has also has also coordinated some Theatre workshops under this banner.

Socio-Cultural activities

Learners Educational Society is a Socio-Cultural organization. We basically work for the development of Theatre,cultural activities & the Folk culture of Tripura. The organization has been organizing Theatre Workshops, Theatre & cultural shows, competitions, cultural festivals etc. on a regular basis. Renowned artists from all around the country and Bangladesh participate over there.

Our society is also active in the field of street theatre & awareness campaign programmes. The society also organizes an International level Theatre festival titled NATYAMANCHA NATYUTSAB from 2015 under the guidance of its founder & president Sri Monidip Das Sumon.

 

 

Awareness Activities & Street Theatre

Learners Educational Society is also active in the field of street theatre & awareness campaign programmes.

We have successfully conducted the street theatre & awareness programme under the project of Tripura State  Aids Control Society (TSACS), Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (Govt. of India) etc. government departments.

Child Education

Education is the backbone of life, and children are the future of tomorrow. Keeping in mind, we organize social activities like distribution of free study materials and books among the needy and distressed school students.

Women Empowerment

Our society believes in promoting women’s sense of self-worth, their ability to determine their own rights and choices to influence social transformation for themselves. We handle projects on hygiene awareness and sanitary pad distribution among the rural women, and also organize free food distribution programmes.
